Therapist

Lainy Peralta, MS, LMHC, QS
Licensed Mental Health Counselor |Qualified Supervisor | Registered Play Therapist | EMDR & Trauma
Therapist

Healing from trauma isn’t about forgetting the past — it’s about reclaiming your power in the present. I’m here to walk with you through that process, at your pace, with honesty, care, and compassion.

Lainy brings strength, empathy, and deep understanding to her work with trauma survivors. After serving 14 years in the U.S. Army, she pursued a Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling and dedicated her life to supporting others on their journey to recovery.

She is a Registered Play Therapist and holds certifications in Sand Tray Therapy, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) for PTSD. Lainy is also currently training in Internal Family Systems (IFS), expanding her trauma-informed approach.

Lainy creates a safe, grounded space where clients feel genuinely seen, validated, and supported. While she brings warmth and empathy to every session, she also believes in the power of respectfully challenging negative patterns. When clients are avoiding, stuck in fear, or caught in self-defeating patterns, she calls it out gently but clearly — always with the goal of empowering them to move forward with strength and clarity.

Her work is deeply informed by her experiences as a veteran, a mother, and a trauma-informed clinician. She approaches every client with cultural sensitivity, respect for their unique story, and an unwavering belief in their capacity to heal. Whether you are facing the effects of past trauma, struggling with loss, or navigating difficult transitions, Lainy will meet you where you are — and help you take the next steps toward hope and healing.
